Cinelux is a UK-based, independent operation founded and run by me, David Morgan Jones. My background is rooted in filmmaking, primarily working as a camera operator on small but high-quality productions.

Those experiences have shaped everything Cinelux stands for. On set, you’re constantly balancing creativity with constraints – limited time, tight budgets, and the pressure to deliver the best possible image. In those moments, the gear you use isn’t just equipment; it’s the difference between hitting the mark or missing it.

After every shoot, I’d find myself asking the same questions: What could have made this better? What tool would have saved us time without sacrificing quality? That pursuit of solutions often led me to rent, swap, or buy new gear – but too often, the perfect tool either didn’t exist, was poorly executed, or was prohibitively expensive.

Cinelux was born to change that.
