When are you releasing the Reduxa A1?

We’re launching this product through a Kickstarter campaign, set to start in the summer this year. The dates are TBC, please subscribe to our newsletter or our Youtube Channel for the latest.

Why are you creating a DSMC2 Focal Reducer?

DSMC2 has a look and a workflow people still care about, and we did not want it to be a dead end. With only one commercial focal reducer ever made for the system, and priced around $4,000, we felt there was room to make something better and more attainable. That is why we built REDUXA R2.

What cameras will it be compatible with?

Both models of REDUXA R2 works with the vast majority of RED DSMC2 camera bodies.

The camera's it is not compatible with are listed below:

- RAVEN (because its EF mount is fixed and non-interchangeable)
‍
- A small number of early DSMC2 DRAGON (Magnesium / Carbon Fibre) bodies and some very early SCARLET-W units, can have a slightly different internal layout that may affect fitment. This  applies to early DSMC2 units shipped from 2015 through early 2016. These units can be identified via a small screw beneath the sensor.

If you’re still not sure on compatibility, please send us a photo of the sensor area with the lens mount removed. We can identify the exact variant and advise whether it’s compatible.
